Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort receives mixed reviews, with many guests praising its convenient location near Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, as well as its range of amenities like a heated pool and mini-golf. However, concerns regarding room cleanliness, inconsistent service, and occasional maintenance issues have been raised, particularly in the cottage-style accommodations. We stayed @ The Westgate for three nights (Mon/Tue/Wed) & can not understand all the mixed reviews seen! We stayed in a suite in the main building & it was fantastic. The room was under $150 per night & we felt like it was a great value for what we got. Our room came with a kitchenette, washer & drier, a walk in shower & a ridiculously large tub. Room service does not clean your rooms during your stay, but I kinda like not having someone in my room when I’m not there anyway. - I also didn’t really see a need for that & we knew if we needed extra of anything we could ask the front desk. It was a nice surprise seeing that they have a daily activity sheet & we were so sad we missed the fireside ghost story. Our room was very clean when we arrived & the pool was fantastic. The hot tub broke while we were there & we received a text letting us know - we loved that. The next day they had people working on it. Check in was super easy. The hotel is on Richmond Rd which is kinda the main road. We were about 5 minutes to Historic Williamsburg & 10 minutes to Busch Gardens. Breakfast isn’t served here but you can literally walk right across the street to both a Dunkin or a Walgreens. We would stay again for the price!

The location of this place is fantastic. If staying in the resort building itself, I imagine it's quite nice. We were relegated to their off-site motel. It would have been fine were the carpets not so filthy. After only a few minutes of walking around, our socks were black. The heated pool was great.

We stayed a week at Westgate. It was awesome start to finish. Gio, at the front desk made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. The well appointed rooms were clean and spacious. This resort is also well located near plenty of restaurants and stores. The manager, Mark helped us load our car when we were leaving. Everyone working there was so nice…even the guests! It was a great week and I would highly recommend this resort.

There are sooo many kind customer service staff to help, and the rooms are top-notch modern and so clean. We had a very peaceful, calm, relaxing, and fun vacation. As an added attraction, there is a gentleman speaking very valuable Historical facts about early making of America. He deserves an A+ for his most interesting Historical Wmsburg presentation. In closing, my family had a super pleasant stay at this Westgate Resort. ?% great time close to shopping,? dining, and simply enjoying all of the great resort amenities. ?

My wife and I had a great time at this resort. Gio provided outstanding service at the front desk and Malissa helped us have an amazing time in the activities center. We were also impressed with the quality of the suite.

Our family group of eight people booked three individual rooms at this hotel for December 18 check in and December 20 check out. We were given rooms about a block away from the main hotel in cottage type apartments. While away for the day on the 19th I came back to find that my jewelry was stolen. We reported this to the hotel manager who had someone come out and check the door and three times it read incorrectly. They took a report and we have never heard from them again, after they told us they would keep in touch. We should have filed a police report, but I thought the hotel would take care of it. IF YOU STAY HERE MAKE SURE YOUR VALUABLES ARE NOT LEFT BEHIND, WE HAD A DO NOT DISTURB NOTICE ON OUR DOOR, WHICH WAS APPARENTLY IGNORED! I would recommend staying somewhere else. When we return to Virginia, we will NOT stay at a Westgate Hotel. Over decades of traveling and cruising, this is the first time we were robbed. Now we have learned our lesson.

My stay here was amazing. Team member Tony B. who checked my wife and I in was very professional, hospitable, and friendly. My wife came here in the winter and the only concern with the room was the bathroom was cold. The room would get warm but he bathroom if door was left closed was cold inside. Overall a very good stay.

Room has more to offer newly renovated room compared from the previous years we stayed on this Westgate property. * reasons for 3 stars was the noise, dogs were barking almost the whole time including night. I reported it and nothing happened. * the noise is unbelievable, you can hear guests talking, spa next door was loud and guests walking in the hallway and at the parking * on the better side Tony B. Front Desk was very accommodating and has a big smile. He was able upgrade our room to single bedroom instead of studio. * the worst part was the sals team, next day. My wife and I was very disappointed and treated like very bad. Sales team acted clowns with no manners and trying to use the old book selling you to upgrade. Details will be send to the main corporate office for their bad behaviors.

Room was exceptionally clean and had wonderful amenities. The staff was super helpful and polite. Due to our plans we didn’t take advantage of the activities at the hotel but they had great things planned. Would be great to come with kids or as a couple. 10/10 recommend and will return. Stayed in a one bedroom villa. William was exceptionally helpful.
