WARNING: Do not trust this hotel with your payment information. My reservation was "Book Now, Pay at Hotel," yet the hotel attempted to charge my card before I even arrived. When the charge didn't go through, the manager canceled my reservation without notifying me. When I arrived, the front desk associate—who was incredibly kind and helpful—explained what had happened and was able to reinstate my reservation. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. The first room had a broken air conditioner, and the bedroom floor was completely soaked. The second room had an air vent hanging almost completely open, exposing dust, debris, and a dark crawl space. We were finally moved to a third room. I confronted the manager, Sam, about canceling my reservation. He admitted there is no policy or disclosure informing guests that the hotel attempts to charge cards before arrival, but said he does it to "protect the hotel." Rather than acknowledging the issue, he became argumentative and unapologetic. The following day, the front desk called to apologize because they had accidentally checked us out of our room. They assured me they would "fix it." Instead, I woke up to two other charges on my card. I never authorized this. The explanation was that they refunded one night after mistakenly checking me out, then charged my card again to create a new reservation—all without my knowledge or permission. Had they simply told me that was their plan, I would have checked out early instead. The front desk employees I interacted with were kind and did their best to help, but the management, billing practices, and condition of the rooms made this one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. If you value transparency and control over your own payment information, I would stay somewhere else.

Fantastic location for visiting Williamsburg. The Cafe on site service and food was perfect (get the burger) They have an indoor pool but was very cloudy and dingy. Our room was great and we had perfect views of fireworks from our window for the 4th holiday! Only items to work on We reserved the room for 4 people and they prepared it for 2 people. The shower needs caulk and the ice bucket was stuck to the tray because it had not been cleaned for who knows how long. Super easy fixes and would not stop is from staying there again.

My wife and I often come to Williamsburg, VA and when we do, this is our hotel. It never fails us. The rooms are always so cozy and the beds are super comfortable. The cleaning staff is incredible and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Big shout out to Sam the manager who was always so kind and even made an effort to have an omelette cooked for me. Under his leadership this hotel will continue to be amazing! Also wanted to shout out Romona in the bistro! The breakfast imo is the best and always fresh. As I mentioned earlier, this is our hotel when we come to Williamsburg! We'll see you all real soon!

This is a great place to stay when in Williamsburg. The property is clean and well groomed. The front desk staff and manager Sam welcomed us with great manners and true care as we appeared for check in as tired travelers. The lobby and hallways are clean and refreshing to first appearance. The parking is crowded and the lobby offered a relaxed feel to us. The room 510 was pristine clean and housekeeper "Norma" attended to our every need. The air conditioning is easy to control and kept us cool al the time. We want to thank the staff for a pleasurable greeting every time we walked into the Lobby. The beds are of good design and structure. We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay here and will repeat this stay the next time we visit family in Williamsburg. Always best regards, Brian & Marsha Fromang

Woman working the front desk overnight tonight has quite a snappy attitude. Blamed me for my keycard not working and was just unnecessarily full of attitude. Also was talking to her sister with her on speakerphone full volume while guests are in the lobby. Just be a little more professional.

Super great stay at this location! In a convenient, but quiet area of town with lots of stuff to see/do nearby. Rooms/hotel were clean, roomy, and staff was super friendly/helpful. Kerriann helped us out at the bar, our group left super satisfied with her hospitality! We would come back based on this personality alone. 10/10 stay for sure!

This is a great location and we were happy with almost everything - we didn't do the restaurant, but our room was clean and nicely laid out. The front desk staff were really nice, but my only complaint is the timing for cleaning the rooms. They come so late! We left the hotel a little before 8am and didn't get back until 6pm, and the room wasn't cleaned (someone had been in to collect our used towels, but not to leave new ones or to take out the trash or make the beds). The missing towel thing happened to us twice during our stay. Either take our old ones and give us new ones right away or just leave them hanging, stop taking them and running away with them! I have small kids that go to bed early, I can't have my room cleaned that late in the evening.

Kerriann at the bar was phenomenal. She was very professional and pleasant. Very engaging and friendly. After I checked in and had a long drive from Washington, D.C. I stopped in at the bar for food and a glass of wine and I was very relaxed. She even prepared my food which was AMAZING … great flavor. Yummy. Thank you so much Kerri. Check in was also easy! All the staff was very kind.

We stayed here overnight. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the heat turns off every time you leave the room AND the instructions for how to turn it on are inaccurate--they say to use the thermostat, but it didn't work. Not great.

Great hotel, rooms are nice and clean. The only problem is the ac/ heater than every time it starts, blows very cold air before heating up but on the second night we got used to it and didn't mind it anymore
