Homewood Suites by Hilton Williamsburg offers a comfortable and spacious extended-stay experience with amenities like full kitchens and separate living areas, making it well-suited for families and longer trips. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in cleanliness, service, and operational issues like malfunctioning appliances and bathroom problems.
Nice hotel for families. Rooms were good, nice to have a kitchenette, and there was plenty of parking. Good location to get anywhere in Williamsburg, from CW to downtown. Shoutout to Stacy for her kindness and positivity while working the front desk, she made our stay easier and was helpful.
The shower curtain was missing. So since my wife and I did not want to fall on a wet floor so I requested one. The person at the front desk finally came up over and hour later, handed me the shower curtain and left. Really? Gotta put up the shower curtain at a hotel I paid for? Two phones in the room. One did not work and the second one did only when I held the cord in the handset. Service like this really bucks. Guess my next trip Williamsburg ( which is already planned ) will include looking for another hotel or at least one with common sense service.
Arrived to find dirty sheets on the bed. The front desk provided new sheets but told us to change them ourselves. None of the three phones in the room worked properly.
Good hotel. Prices were reasonable for Williamsburg. Room was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Breakfast selection was great, large amount of options and even vegetarian selections. Rooms were slightly noisy at night, but this could have been due to weekend traffic.
The room was clean and check in was easy. The room was missing Kleenex and wash towels no big deal. Waking up to hit a cold under cared for breakfast was the bummer. No juice left, no coffee!??! Cold eggs, cold sausage ect were bad and this was at 9am. The buffet closes at 9:30 but it was being packed at 9:15. We told Stacy as we left she said we would get a $50 credit but instead we received 5k points which equals $5. We really couldn’t be more disappointed.
This was a nice hotel with spacious, modern rooms. I really liked the 2 bedroom suite but was not happy with cleanliness..the room had a fishy smell which I realized may have come from a trash can under the sink that was not emptied. The hard floors were dirty when wiped with a wet paper towel. Otherwise the beds appeared clean and neat. The breakfast was decent and a good variety..Will consider staying here again whenever I come to Williamsburg again!
We spent several days and nights at the Homewood Suites by Hilton on our last visit to Williamsburg. We found the property very comfortable, our room more like an apartment than a hotel room. The rooms are large with a separate living area and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Great for a longer stay.
We had poop on our shower curtain, a grape on our floor in a room that had dogs, cleaning was putting polishing chemicals on the range coils where it caused the suite and whole floor to smoke up. It was terrible and disgusting. Since I booked through Expedia they couldn't give me any comparison, so I paid 1000 for 2days in a disgusting room.Dont stay here.
I had a great stay at the Homewood Suites in Williamsburg! The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived, and check-in was quick and easy. My suite was spacious, clean, and well-stocked, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch and had a good variety of options to start the day. The location is excellent – close to Colonial Williamsburg and plenty of dining options – but still quiet and relaxing. I also appreciated the convenience of the full kitchen in the suite, which made it easy to have a few meals in. Overall, this is a perfect spot for families or anyone looking for a comfortable home-away-from-home experience in Williamsburg. Highly recommended!
My recent stay at Homewood Suites in Williamsburg, VA, was marred by multiple maintenance and cleanliness issues. In room 307, the telephones didn’t work, a kitchen cupboard shelf was broken, and the back burner was non-functional. After requesting a room change, room 202 had a broken dishwasher. I was moved to room 203, where the floors were sticky with a strong maple syrup smell, the toilet clogged easily and refilled slowly, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly due to incorrect hinge screws. Additionally, there were crumbs in the toaster and a burned-out light bulb in the kitchen. Across all rooms, the stove’s hood failed to vent cooking smells outside, instead blowing them back into the room. The permanently sealed windows made it impossible to clear cooking odors, even triggering the smoke alarm. The public restroom on the first floor was also clogged, with visible waste. These issues made for an uncomfortable stay, especially given the otherwise convenient location and potential of the hotel. I hope management addresses these maintenance and cleanliness concerns for future guests.
