Jellystone Park Williamsburg is experiencing a transition period with mixed guest feedback. While some appreciate the convenient location and amenities, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding staff helpfulness, cleanliness issues, and disruptions from golf cart traffic and construction. The park’s transformation appears to be impacting some long-time regulars’ experiences.

Great place for RVs or cabins but NOT for tents. Tent sites are not as advertised. The site map/pictures/details fail to highlight that you cannot pull a vehicle up to your site, so park in the lot and get ready to put in some serious work. Sites also surrounded by a deep sharp ravine so it is absolutely not the place for small children.

I just wrapped up a trip to Jellystone Williamsburg. We arrived the first week of June to enjoy the local theme parks. When we arrived, we were thrilled that the place seemed empty. But, we found out that they did'nt consider that first week to be "in peak" which translates to bacially all the kid-friendly amenities would be half open, or not open at all. I had no clue it would be so limiting. The staff are not helpful, and don't care if you have kids and want to enjoy the facilities. They also chose to do construction on our site that week, and it ran right into our last day camping. We were given a lot of reasons why they didn't care that we were still camping there. The office was also closed by 5pm which means as a camper, we often needed supplies and they were always closed it seemed. KOA is a much better experince. Overall, the location is great but the staff were not kind, kid-frienly, or curtios to us duing our stay.

Everything was great. Booked last minute on a whim. Got an early check in for a tucked away cabin. Quiet, cute, and comfortable. Park was up dated. Kids loved the pool and bounce pillow best. People were incredibly helpful. Especially George the maintenance guy who helped us with our car (which was having battery trouble) and delivered our fire wood. Kids already begging to go back.

We have stayed at this campground for several years and always loved our stay. We were a little upset to see that it has been picked up by Jellystone. While Jellystones are great, our experience with our local one left us with a not so great impression. Our local Jellystone is mobbed with golf carts all day and late into the night some with stereo systems. This one seems to be headed that direction. Don't get me wrong, we love activities for kids and campers but the constant golf cart traffic is a no for us. They are everywhere. Fortunately our site set back off the main road so we could enjoy our fire and relax. Walking to the bath house was a little like playing frogger with kids driving golf carts. But worst of all, the bath house was not touched (other than emptying the trash) the entire time we stayed. By our last day it was disgusting. I walked in and walked out. I'm hoping that these are all transitional problems but it wasn't the experience we were used to with previous owners/franchises. All of the workers were polite and welcoming with no exception. Delivery of fire wood to the camp site was great and the wood burned well. Our site was great although it was away from the wifi but we got through with our Hotspot.

This campground was recently changed to a Jellystone, so not all of the statues and signs are up. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed at a tent site and fair warning you should probably call to book if you haven't been before. Some of the tent sites are a decent walk from where you park. Overall, it was pretty and a positive experience so we will likely return.

My family stayed in one of the bigger cabins with a bedroom, bunkroom, kitchette with a few dishes, and a bathroom. It had a table and chairs and a small sofa, which was perfect. It was nice, clean and the heat worked very well. We were only there for one night, so didn't use the dishes, since I had brought paper plates and plasticware. The kitchen faucet leaked when you turned it on, so I let them know when we checked out the next day. Towels and linens were provided. We took extra blankets with us, since I get cold. We usually take our camper, but thought it would be nice to rent a cabin. We took our two little dogs and the crate fit perfectly next to the sofa while we were at Busch Gardens. We will definitely rent a cabin again when we come down for just one or two days. It was worth it.

Website photos don’t reflect the actual site appearance. We booked a pull through site, however the one side had a very steep hill we had to go down to exit. We ended up backing out instead. Single electric hand dryer in site bathroom didn’t work and no paper towels were provided. Campground roads were dirt rather than paved, muddy after a rain.

Traveled with trailer. Excellent customer service. Extremely clean campsite and restrooms. 3 people cleaning restrooms at 1 time, multiple times a day. Frequent trash pickup and kink escort service. We've visited several times here. Always our come to place when visiting Williamsburg.

Lovely campground. Wooded sites that are spacious. Everything is immaculate and their camp host George is absolutely amazingly helpful. We had some issues unhitching and he just showed up to help us!!! We then had an issue with one of the windows on our camper and George went and got tools and fixed it for us. All while still leading people to their sites and working so hard. Highly recommend this campground and we will most definitely be returning!!! Oh and George is a rock star!!!!

Stayed at Williamsburg Campground 8-10 September 2025 lot number E68. Very well maintained Rv camping facility with beautiful spacious lots, mature trees and a whole host of amenities. Very professional staff who were always friendly with a positive demeanor. As for this particular lot, it was listed as a Pull-Thru but anything over 32 feet (as was my motorhome) I’m not too sure it is really sufficient. The embankment exiting the lot may just be too aggressive to facilitate a comfortable turn for a bigger rig and just not sure it would be possible. Discussed possible options with one of the park attendants (Dale?) and he mentions possibly dozing to widen the turn which I believe would work just perfectly. Other than that the lot was very nice and quiet with great shade from all the trees. Keep up the great work team!!
