The Residence Inn Williamsburg consistently receives positive reviews, primarily praising its friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms with full kitchens, and convenient location. While some guests appreciate the complimentary breakfast and ice cream, a few have experienced issues with cleanliness, plumbing problems, and occasional noise. Overall, it’s a popular choice for families and travelers seeking a well-equipped and accommodating stay.
I love it here. Very clean and relaxing. Service is great. The rooms has everything I need to feel at home away from home.Checking and out is quick and easy. I also enjoy the complimentary breakfast which is very tasty.
Staff was so very nice and friendly!!! Rooms were comfortable. Smelled very clean throughout and breakfast was expansive and delicious. They even gave free ice cream from 4 pm- 8 pm daily.
First, the front desk staff is very friendly and this review is not a reflection of them - they have great customer service!! But…Very disappointed this motel claims to be a hotel feels its age and the lobby but the staff is extremely friendly but definitely feel that Marriott falsely advertised amenities such as the indoor heated pool pictured is NOT on property it’s at their ‘sister’ motel springhill suites - this ‘hotel’ truly has cheap motel feel is dumpy and would not stay at again
I had a great stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Williamsburg. After reading some mixed reviews beforehand, I was a bit worried but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and felt spacious and comfortable, almost like a small apartment. I especially appreciated the full kitchen, which made the stay much more convenient and relaxing. The staff truly made the experience stand out. Elena was wonderful always pleasant, helpful, and genuinely willing to assist with anything we needed. Emma was incredibly knowledgeable and full of great information about food options in the area. And if you’re looking for coffee recommendations, she’s absolutely the expert and can point you to the best spots. Madison was extremely helpful and very pleasant. They made our stay enjoyable going above and beyond to help. We did have one issue with the fireplace which was quickly taken care of. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay, and I would absolutely return.
Whenever we are in Williamsburg, we stay at this Residence Inn. It is located in a convenient location with easy access to and from the main road. The rooms are clean, and you get a complimentary breakfast. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, and had everything we needed. It was comfortable, spacious and relaxing. Great to have a full kitchen if you need it. However, there are tons of fast food, and fast-casual dining on the same road of the hotel. Fire table exists outside for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or fun. A small fitness center is also on property. Depending on when you visit, the parking lot can fill up quickly. But that has only happened a few times, but something to be aware of. Staff here is always friendly and pleasant. Easy to check in. The breakfast staff is excellent. Very friendly and willing to help you with anything you need. We will be back, and utilize this hotel as we always do. Fantastic location centrally located so it feels like we are a short distance to everything.
We had a family trip planed and decided to stay at this hotel due to its location. The 1st day didn’t go well as the AC unit leaked all over the main bedroom floors and soaked our bags which were on the floor. The room had a damp smell the rest of the trip after that. We also had a hold put on our card on the 2nd day which we were told would be taken off after we paid for the complete stay which even though we did pay in full the hold was still on our card. We called and they said it will take a few days for that hold to remove. We waited longer than they said and the hold turned to a charge. We called back and they said they had no way of returning that money as they had no way to track it and they suggested we reverse charge with our credit card company. Now 2 months on residence inn are fighting us with the charge and now the credit card company want proof of why we were charged. Residence inn as already mentioned have no information available for that charge when we call and we only have the charge on our credit card as proof. After looking online this seems to have happened to others too. Will be the last time we ever stay at a residence inn and we will keep fighting these charges even if it means going to court. It’s blatant fraud at this point and their customer service is zero help when you call and make excuses and try to pass the blame onto us. The credit car company actually sent us the documentation that residence inn billing department sent and they charged one of the 4 adults we were on vacation with as a no show so that’s why the charge stayed on the account. This person was with us the whole time and it’s clearly a billing mistake their end but they are still blaming us! We only had the 1 room too so it’s even more annoying that they can’t figure this out. Total incompetence.
We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were very clean and the staff was exceptional. Truly everyone on the staff was awesome, including the ladies at the front desk and the cleaning staff. The breakfast was excellent and the free ice cream at night was worth the night stay in itself.
I love this hotel, everyone was so nice and polite. Rooms we're very nice clean and neat. Staff was amazing and breakfast was very nice. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back soon.
We really enjoyed our stay here in Williamsburg. The receptionist when we checked in was very pleasant. Everyone always wished us a good day when passing by the front desk. We chose this hotel mostly because it allowed dogs and had a kitchen area. There were a few dings, scratches and scraps throughout the room but very minor stuff in my opinion. The toilet was a bit loud when flushed, but once again, not a big deal. Since the temperatures were very high during our stay, we didn't take our dog with us most of the time. So, we had a "paw" magnet we put on the door to let staff know an animal was inside. However, that meant no housekeeping. I would suggest giving a time range to guests so they know when to have there pets out and about. This way rooms can be attended and guests don't have to guess. We didn't have housekeeping the entire stay because we never knew when to have our dog out of the room. Maybe I misunderstood the purpose of the magnet though. Other than that, the breakfast was fantastic every morning. Our stay was awesome with many restaurants within walking distance.
All was good except, the room across from us had a dog that was left alone all morning and barked non stopping. It was not pleasant at all to be waken up because of that, I even suggested to call Animal Control due to the negligence. The hotel MUST reconsider the pet policy and either ban it or fine the people who did not care to disturb the whole floor. That was unacceptable. As for the breakfast, the options could be improved.
