This property offers spacious suites, complimentary breakfast, and nightly free ice cream in a convenient Williamsburg location with consistently friendly staff. However, guests report concerning issues regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and prioritized service during peak crowds.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming! And, though I had one minor issue with the room, they are happy to address any issues. Also, the view of the beautiful trees made me feel like I was in a forest instead of next to a parking lot!
This was hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life, and I strongly urge others to avoid it. I was staying here with my wife and kids when I found live roaches in the room. I managed to kill two of them, but I saw one run and hide behind the fridge. I reported the situation to the front counter immediately hoping to borrow roach spray, but they provided no assistance and had nothing available. After that incident, I started noticing other signs of severe neglect, including damaged trim on the door and a very dirty couch. Considering the price was not cheap, the lack of basic cleanliness and service is unacceptable. I truly hope Marriott corporate knows about this and takes immediate action to address the massive pest control and maintenance issues at this hotel.
Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Colonial Williamsburg with my family. I had looked at airbnbs & condos, but am glad that I settled on this SpringHill Suites. The room size was perfect for our needs... two comfy queen sized beds, a real closet, a "living area" with a couch, a desk nook and a small "kitchenette" (a countertop with sink, fridge with tiny freezer and a small microwave). The hotel has a pool, which was a big hit with my daughter. My daughter also enjoyed the free ice cream in the evenings. There is a hot breakfast every morning, a mini-store with some food/sundry items, and you can also buy beer/wine. Staff was always super friendly from front desk staff to other random staff members we saw throughout our stay. I would stay here again if we come down to CW in the future!
I stayed at SpringHill Suites by Marriott during my trip to Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream in October. After a long day at the park, I really appreciated having a clean room and excellent service. The front desk staff was very helpful and even brought extra towels to our room when we ran out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered complimentary ice cream and popsicles from 5 to 8 p.m. I have never stayed at a hotel that did that before, and it was such a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. I truly enjoyed my stay and plan to return the next time I visit Busch Gardens.
I love the area this hotel is in. Quiet and safe, and lots of dining options around. The hotel itself is okay. Some of the outlets in our room did not work but we worked around that. The sofa/trundle bed was comfy and so was the king bed. We loved the pillows as well. The bathroom was all right. I wish the ceiling lights weren’t yellow but that’s my personal preference. The shower head itself needed to be fixed (pictured) and because of how the head is angled, water managed to soak through the curtain and onto the bathroom floor. When I first noticed this issue about 1/3 of the bathroom was covered in water. That is a serious hazard. Had I not put a foot towel on the floor I would have slipped and either hit the tub or the toilet, heaven forbid I hit my head on anything. Perhaps that could be looked into, fixing the shower head. Breakfast was good! There was an assortment of things like eggs, sausage or bacon, a sausage/potato/onion:pepper hash (yummy), french roast sticks, etc. I really enjoyed the oatmeal with all of the topping options! The waffles were good as well. I do wish there were more options wish things like pastries and fruit but I liked what I was able to get. The staff were very kind as well. The hotel was very quiet and I only heard occasional noise when I left the room but even then it was quiet. I would definitely stay here again as long as the shower doesn’t flood the floor!
Stayed here for four nights this past week. We had trouble connecting my daughters xbox to the wifi. The front desk offered to send someone up and Ricardo went above and beyond to get it connected. When he couldn't get it he had another employee come to help and they got it working. My daughter was grateful, as were we. The room was clean, staff super friendly, and also recommended a great local Mexican restaurant to eat at. I would definitely stay here again!
The person at the desk upon arrival was excellent. He definitely understands customer service. Each time we walked in the front door, we were greeted. The staff seemed well-trained. My husband would describe this hotel as one where “you get what you pay for”. The bed was comfortable. It’s a mediocre hotel but good enough to sleep at. Our 10-year-old loved the spacious room and West Elm couch. The gym smelled. The hot tub looked gross. The hotel main floor smells so strong like Fabuloso cleaner that I couldn’t stand to be down there. The breakfast options were ok but we wouldn’t even test our health by eating what was labeled as eggs.
This hotel needs attention. I had a stained ottoman, a leaky toilet, and paint peeling in the shower. In addition the hvac is an old school wall unit with the thermostat in the unit therefore only one side of the room reaches the desired temperature. There is a small ceiling fan on the other side of the room. The staff is very nice.
I stay at A LOT of hotels on the east coast and I have to say, I was so impressed with this hotel. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately clean. They offered free ice cream each night. The breakfast had a lot of options and they constantly replenished the hot food. Especially given the hotel is in a "tourist" area and was packed they were on point. We had a bit of a problem with our cable and they sent someone to look at it and they constantly updated us with the status and it was due to a storm. Came back on and had no other issues. Would defiantly stay here again!!!
Great hotel! Located in a good spot and has mid staff. I thought the rooms were a bit dated, but were spacious with a GREAT couch. The cleaning people also had a strange schedule for cleaning rooms, once every four days and towels every two days. The best part of the hotel would be the food offerings. They had a decent selection for breakfast, but had free ice cream every night! What a nice idea. Overall, the hotel got the job done and had great side amenities and many other things located in the area.
