Guests report severe hygiene issues, including filth and mold, contrasting sharply with generally friendly staff and decent value for the price. However, reports of guest misconduct, security breaches, and outdated facilities suggest the property is beyond repair.

Staff was friendly however the cleanliness was terrible. The tub had not been cleaned it had dirt and hair, the floor was dirty and a chap stick came flying out of the blanket as I was getting in bed. Prior to using the shower I had to go to dollar tree for bleach cleaner and scrub it myself out of fear of a flesh eating bacteria. If I hadn’t been awake so long I would have left immediately and drive 4 hours home. I would never book here again and suggest no one else does either. I would not let my children eat the breakfast out of fear of what the kitchen looks like I can only imagine. Absolutely disgusted worst hotel experience I have ever had. My son was amused at the fact I had to clean and took a photo which I will attach!

Stayed this past weekend and it was awful. Mold around tub and soap dish. Water control for tub/shower was loose. Stained towel HVAC constantly thru out heat when set for 66 degrees.....temperature was well into the 70's. AC outlet not working. We've stayed at this chain before and was very pleased. Not this time. We'll NEVER come back to this location and my suggestion would be you shouldn't go either.

This is the hotel that we stay at every October to take our annual Halloween trip to Busch Gardens. We stay here because they are pet friendly and we bring our little doggy princess every year. The lady that checked us in was very friendly. Once we got into our room, the room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. However…our toilet barely flushed . The flush was not good. The keys to our room barely worked and the Wi-Fi was horrible! I had to go out to my car and pay a bill electronically because I had no use of my phone while in the room. The remote control was covered in some type of crust (ewww) good thing I had wipes and cleaned it thoroughly. There were interesting characters hanging out front of the hotel every day. So…if you don’t mind all of those things then hotel is highly recommended.

You get what you pay for. The room was clearly in need of updating with holes/threadbare spots in the carpet and patches in the wall. The water pressure in the shower kind of sucked. However, the place was clean enough, and I’m not mad at what I got for the price. The breakfast was really good. The staff were kind and helpful. My main issue was on the first night of our stay; there was a group of people standing right outside the front entrance and talking loudly for hours. Our room was on the second floor just above them, and their conversation was loud enough to be disturbing even with the window closed. They stopped around 2am, and we stayed up late so it ended up not being too disruptive to our sleep, but I feel that the person running the front desk should have intervened, since they were right outside and so he must have been able to hear them. We never made a complaint to the front desk, but it seems like something he should have taken care of. Another issue we had that night was a guest at 4:30am woke us up by banging on doors and yelling. That went on for a while, but eventually stopped. I mention this not as a reflection on the quality of the hotel itself (since the staff had no way of knowing and had nothing to do with it), but because it may be indicative of the kind of environment you might encounter here. However, the other night of our stay was quiet, so this instance was maybe a one off fluke. Overall, I would say the place isn’t great but isn’t terrible. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but I would stay again if it happen to be the cheapest in the area for the next time we come to Busch Gardens.

Unfortunately what was once our favorite hotel to go to and from Busch Gardens, has declined since last year. Our first room had a bedbug, the staff got us out of that room ASAP which was nice. They acted quickly after seeing the picture. But the overall cleanliness of the rooms and the hallways left alot to be desired. Staff was super nice and friendly.

The room was very nice. We stayed 2 days. Unfortunately our truck broke down. Spoke to staff and there were no issues getting it fixed in the parking lot. The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was plentiful. It was very good also. If I come back to visit, I would come back to la Quinta to stay.

When I arrived, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled. I confirmed my reservation through Booking.com. The person at the hotel counter told me that they don't get the information provided to Booking.com, so they didn't think I was coming. In years past, the property has reached out to me to confirm that I am still coming. The room I reserved was gone. The size bed I requested was no longer available and they tried to charge me more than I was quoted. Saturday evening, the front desk gave another guest our room. My husband laying on the bed & I was asleep when another guest, using her assigned key card, enters our room. Upon realizing that someone was in the room, she exited. Someone from the front desk came up and knocked on the door. She said that they didn't have any record of anyone being in this room. I was then charged $209.96 to my credit card in addition to the $99.66 that had already been charged to my card. I went to the front desk to try to rectify the situation. Because the charges were still pending, I decided to wait until the charges went through on my card. There was mold on the ceiling. My curtains we torn. I do not appreciate the lack of professionalism with which we served. The fact that they didn't know that anyone was in our room and had given keys to someone put my husband and myself in danger. We normally don't have issues with this hotel. This is the fourth year that we have stayed here. This WILL DEFINITELY be the last year. After all we have gone through in this visit, we shouldn't be charged anything. This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST STAY EVER!!!

Rooms were not cleaned. Bedding was not changed in line with guidance. Toilet leaked over bathroom floor. Bath was filthy and covered in limescale. Keycard regularly failed. Breakfast was disappointing and regularly ran out of items. Curtains were not fitted correctly in room. TV only worked intermittently on a handful of channels.

Great location to get anywhere in Williamsburg. The beds and pillows were very soft after a long day. Hot Breakfast. The breakfast sausages were good. The room took a while to cool down, and the hallways were hot and had some damage on the carpet. Definitely would stay here again when coming to Williamsburg

2 star review of a hotel in Williamsburg Virginia. I am compelled to share my concerns with the hope that the owners of this establishment will seize this opportunity to revitalize their hotel. It is evident that minor issues have compounded over time, and I strongly encourage the owners to address these concerns. Visible safety concerns were present before I even reached my room, including water leaks, misaligned doors, and an expired elevator safety certification. Once in my room, I was impressed by the cleanliness, but unfortunately, the in-room window air conditioning unit emitted a terrible smell that lingered throughout my stay. The shower handle was loose, causing water to spray everywhere, and the shower pipe was misaligned, leading to leaks and puddles on the floor. The sink also leaked water when turned on. Additionally, two electrical fixtures were inoperable, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Despite these issues, the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. I hope that the owners will take my review as a call to action to address these concerns and elevate their hotel to its full potential. Please prioritize the safety concerns and renovations needed. The staff deserves to work in a well-maintained environment, and guests deserve a safe and enjoyable stay.
