The Club Wyndham Governor’s Green offers spacious units with access to resort activities and a convenient location near attractions. However, recent reviews highlight issues with aggressive sales tactics, maintenance problems (particularly with hot tubs and cleanliness), and outdated room conditions. Despite some positive experiences with staff, a significant portion of guests report negative interactions and concerns regarding property upkeep.
The units are amazing - more floor space than my apartment. Staff are helpful, and nice enough. But kind of pushy when it comes to getting you into a meeting. Not as bad as some other Wyndham properties, though. They offer a lot of activities, but I already have my time planned when I show up, so I have never really taken advantage of those..
The service here is non existent unless you are a potential buyer. Once you purchase the “scam” you realize that’s exactly what this business model is. The outdoor hot-tub was broken for the entire week- however they never put up a sign to let the guests or members know, so people just kept getting in and then realizing they made a huge mistake. We were told by the maintenance crew they were aware of the issue but didn’t want the “guest tours” to see the error. That’s why there was no sign. Unsafe, and worthless member services.
Originally had a one-bedroom unit which was a converted lock off. That room was dirty, dingy, and had old appliances that look like they were from the '60s. When we were moving in a roach crawled out of the toaster where at that point we went to the front desk and requested another room. The people were extremely friendly and got us a different room that was quite nice. We appreciate them taking care of us. The original one bedroom room should not be rented to anybody as timeshare users expect quite a bit more and not an old dingy hotel like atmosphere.
We had a great experience at Club Wyndham Governors Green. We were very happy with the helped we received from Bobbie, who helped us with our check-in today for our stay. We’ve been coming here for many years, and each time we’ve consistently enjoyed the level of service provided. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the overall experience continues to meet our expectations. We always look forward to our stays here and appreciate the welcoming atmosphere.
Very nice resort with spacious and clean rooms (very clean!!). There is a fabulous outdoor hot tub that remains open in the winter along with free mini golf and other resort activities. The location is very quiet and set off the main road but still very accessible to all the local attractions, shopping, restaurants, etc. The TV's do not have an actual guide and were not synced with the channel guide provided which made it a bit challenging. Only unpleasant part was the 15-minute sales pitch to attend a presentation after arriving at 9pm after a very long drive. Front desk was lovely until we declined and then they were not so kind.
Great location! We're less than 10 minutes from walmart and good eating spots. Rooms spacious and decent amenities
Great location and resort is nice and expansive. However, for once, I would love to be able to check-in and not be told I have to attend a timeshare sales meeting (which they won't admit is a sales meeting) . You DO NOT have to go, by the way, even if you've been "pre-registered"
Nice rooms. Stayed for a week for new year's. Friendly service. They were nice when we asked for the stuff to play billiards. The person at the desk was very pleasant. Bingo was fun too. They seem to have a lot of experiences for guests.
Our stay at the resort was generally okay, and the property itself is fine, but the sales experience really put a damper on things. Curtis, the sales representative, was rude and visibly upset when we said we weren’t interested in adding extras to our vacation package. We felt pressured and uncomfortable, which isn’t what you want when you’re on vacation. The resort could be enjoyable if you’re just there to relax, but be aware that the sales approach can be pushy and unpleasant.
Great location, this area has really built up since my last visit here. The resort is older but clean, the bed in the master BR is comfortable, the furniture in the living room was like most other Wyndhams, adequate but not really comfy. The resort could use upgrades.
