This property offers generally spacious accommodations with a convenient location near outlets and New Town, but guests frequently report major upkeep issues including plumbing, pest problems, and undisclosed fees. While some recent stays were highly positive regarding cleanliness and amenities, the experience varies drastically based on the specific unit.
Stayed here multiple times. Convenient to New Town and outlets. Somewhat dated property but reasonably well maintained. Not our favorite burg resort but perfectly acceptable.
WOW! I really like this place from the office people to my two bedroom unit. Everything was above satisfactory Clean and so spacious don’t bring anything except clothes the kitchen is filled with everything you’ll ever need. The bedrooms are huge. Very happy that we chose this place. ?
We won a two night stay for free through a wedding expo. Weird timeshare experience although they said when we booked the free trip offer that it was not a timeshare. We asked a couple of times and we received different answers if it was or was not a timeshare. They need to get on the same page with that LOL because everyone was saying different things which felt so weird. So whatever we did the timeshare meeting and we’re good sports about it because I’m not going to be rude to the presenter just doing his job. But then later this guy Noah was brought over to speak to us. He was a financial manager or some similar title. He was rude and abrasive. My fiance and I instantly did not like his energy. He killed our mood. He argued with us, becoming increasingly more red in the face the more we refused to purchase the timeshare. I don’t know how many times I said the same answer, over and over again. It baffled me that he not only argued with my fiance but with me as a woman. I believe no man should go back and forth and make me defend my financial choices. He compared the timeshare purchase to making a marriage commitment because he saw we were fiances, and I couldn’t help but laugh. It made it seem like he needed our referral to help him out with his bad decision of buying the timeshare LOL. Like the original price quoted was 30k, and then he says let me go pull some numbers and the price drops down to 10k. Just did not make sense- not that we were going to purchase either way. like it felt so scammy. He was not pleasant. So overall weird experience. Hallways smelled like a doctors office. Toilet consistently flushed and didn’t turn off. TVs are very old.
I was extremely disappointed in our last stay. I was disheartened at the lack of customer service received. While requesting parking permits for myself and my siblings we had to interrupt the staff's board game to get completely checked out. The rooms were not clean. Stains on chairs, blood stains on sheets in one room (they didnt replace sheets until next day after havingto call again. Luckily there was a set for the sofa we could use), dirty walls in one bathroom and mold on ceiling in coat closet. Hallway leading to upstairs smelled like dogs. Phones on the 2nd level didn't work (no one fixed or replaced, even after reporting2 times) and there wasnt adequate amount of paper products for a week's stay. Within 2-3 days of arriving on a Saturday we started feeling sick. This seemed odd that we all got sick at the same time but was not ill prior to trip and we came from 4 different locations. Our trip was shorted because of illness (brother checked out Tuesday, and sister Wednesday, and so forth) We believe that rooms weren't properly cleaned and sterilized, resulting in us getting sick. Worst stay ever.
A must visit! My family and I decided to visit during the holiday season and everything looked magical. The accommodations were superb, we booked 2 rooms that accommodated 6 people per room. We were able to lodge next to each other. Book now, it's worth it!
We 'won' a giveaway for a 2 night stay. We were told over the phone that the only stipulation was that we would have to attend a 15 minute 'tour' that was scheduled for 9:15 AM the day after check-in. This 'tour' turned out to be a timeshare presentation trap, which was over 3 hours long. It was also down the road at their actual, nicer location. In this presentation, they pulled out all the desperate tactics to tricks us into their scam, even bringing in 2 extra managers to pressure us into buying a timeshare. This unexpected presentation that was presented to us as a quick tour, completely took over the 1 whole day of the trip that we were able to make plans. Then, the rooms are as if you're stepping straight into the 90s. Springy, uncomfortable, small bed, with sheets that didn't even fit. Uncomfortable furniture in general. Had we not attended that presentation, they were going to charge us over $300 per night, which this place is not worth. Also, they let it slip that we were in the 'marketing suite', which is clearly designed to make you crave the 'luxury' that they are offering you at the other location. They also let it slip that we were only chosen as a 'winner' because of our household income. It's all a targeted scam. Don't fall for it like we did. It was absolutely not worth it. Had we known what this would entail, we never would have accepted.
Overall, this place was good for a quick family vacation. Luxury, it is not.... just basic. We had an A/B unit which was about bottom and top level unit Thayer you walk into a foyer area. Go upstairs for unit B or turn left for unit A. We got there at night and they're was leftover trash, a piece of fried chicken breast, dish washing liquids, a metal bar, dishwasher pods and other random trash next to the steps on on the steps. I did let them know and some of the items were picked up, some not until 2 days later. Just strange. The unit was semi clean.. towels and kitchen towels were clean. The shower floor was old and stained, one of the toilets had leftover urine stains at the base, the fridge was old school. Kitchen utensils are the old black (not supposed to use anymore) ones. So I wish I'd brought my own. Kitchen had 4 glass bowls Square and round glass pans 4 stainless steel pans, various sizes 2 cup measuring cup, 3/4 cup, 1/4 cup Teaspoon set Plastic cups, glasses tall and short No refills in room for paper towels or dish soap Microwave, stove and oven in unit A. Unit B microwave and 2 connected hot plates- no oven or stove Coffee pot, blender and toaster Great, warm fireplace, nice couches, chairs, and dining table with 6 chairs Tv's are NOT smart TV's though you do have the option of "renting" DVD's Indoor pool, outdoor pool, gym (most equipment was broken or missing items) Can "rent" equipment like corn hole, pickle ball and tennis Location was fantastic! Close to restaurants, outlet and grocery store (all within 5 mins)
This is my first night checking into vacation village at williamsburg 12/27/25 The check in line was extremely long. Note to say the staff acted effectively they had about 5 reps for check in . What i thought would take forever went smoothly .My Neighbor's in the unit right below me where up after midnight doing laundry which Unfortunately is right outside of my unit on the top floor and they weren't quite at all .my unit only had a limited kitchen, the unit itself could use some upgrades. I'd say instead of a dishwasher in the limited kitchen units replace those with an oven which would be much more useful to guest's especially traveling with a family like myself. I also think countertops should be upgraded. There are several other small issues within the unit which I have to bring to the front desks attention to make sure I get my security deposit back. I already pay a maintenance fee for this location . I am an owner at this location looking forward to spend out the rest of the week exploring virginia
Rooms are nice and spacious. Good location. It was quiet there. We enjoyed our stay until a hour before check out they deactivated our room keys as we are trying to move our stuff to the car. My kids were still in the room, luckily. We found a cigarette butt above the fireplace, someone's shoe under the bed and we had coffee but no coffee pot. I also didn't like that 2 days after checking out I got a $150 charge. They are supposed to charge a incidental charge of $150 upon check in then refunded days after check out.
The grounds are beautiful. Staff friendly. Few things though. It isn't efficient to check in on one side and be sent to another line for a parking pass. That's ridiculous Our unit smelled strongly of mold/ mildew. # 177. You can smell as soon as you enter front door b4 walking upstairs.Definitely had a leak . somewhere at a point and there's gotta be mold in there. We were choked up the whole time. That's a huge deal. Whoever cleans isn't cleaning that good. The surface of appliances were very dirty The decor could be updated to a more modern color scheme vs the Brady Bunch house theme One of the TV's in one of bedrooms would not work and every TV is old school .All different remotes and no apps or anything like that Terrace is nice and fireplace was nice to have Jet tub was extremely nice Water pressure good . Plenty of hot water Beds were midway comfy.. Not uncomfortable but not super comfy either Ice maker working. Coffee maker good . Wish we had more coffee than 1 single pack Laundry machines available in the hall All in all , mixed feelings about rather I'd stay there again. There's probably better units in there than what I got.
