Hilton Vacation Club Greensprings Williamsburg offers spacious units with full kitchens and multiple bedrooms, making it a popular choice for families visiting Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in room condition, with some units showing signs of age and maintenance issues, while others have undergone recent renovations. The location is a strong selling point, but accessibility can be a challenge for some guests due to the multiple flights of stairs.
After staying here in the past, they finally have begun remodeling a lot of their units. And I have to say it's a world of difference, looks 10 times better and things actually work. The indoor pool area was very comfortable and enjoyable. Check in was fast and easy. Plus, they have mini golf, a rec room, and activities center. (Didn't use those) Overall, was very impressed.
We stayed here with our family of 6 while in town to visit Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The complex is quite large with many buildings. Some of the units are renovated and some are not. The units overall are large, but the inside of the living quarters buildings was very outdated and tired. We wound up moving to a new room after our first night and the renovated rooms, essentially, a quick flip (new furniture, no carpets) of the older rooms was an improvement. The pool area was the highlight with a nice outdoor pool, indoor pool, kiddie pool, a heated outdoor hot tub. There is also mini golf and basketball on site.
Definitely one of those places that makes you feel like they are doing you a favor checking you in, then they try to sell you on going to a timeshare meeting. The carpet is so disgusting I would advise bringing dark socks to walk around in, the walls are paper thin, we listened to the upstairs tenants chase around a kid till he must have passed out at midnight. It’s a good size but that’s about the only positive, would prefer something smaller that feels clean.
Good location, especially for golf fans. The rooms are nice and well appointed. The master bedroom tub is large enough for two, but no Jacuzzi jets. The beds are amazingly comfortable IMHO.
My mother has a timeshare at Greensprings and we've been coming here for years during the summer. I am familiar with the standard. So imagine my unpleasant shock when my family and I checked in today. The furniture was awful, rundown, stained, and the tv is ancient. Everything is brown, dated, and looks extremely cheap. We are trying to see if we even want to stay. UPDATE: We ended up getting a better room. Thanks Peyton! However, it was still quite inconvenient to move all our stuff with 2 small kids at 10pm but the updated room was worth it. Not the best start to our trip. And we may need to rethink owning and stay here in the future.
Had a very pleasant two day stay here recently when doing a trip to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. For less than the price of many hotels we got a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with full kitchen. The beds were comfortable and they used full sized comfortable pillows. TVs and cable selection was adequate and the WiFi was fine, plenty fast enough to play an MMORPG. If you plan to do cooking I strongly encourage you to pack a few pieces of cookware if you can. Our unit had no measuring spoons, no frying pan and no pots but oddly enough did have some casserole dishes and bakeware. Things like cooking spoons and spatulas were in short supply. It's not a deal breaker or anything but you should plan accordingly. DON'T get anything but a ground floor unit if you are remotely mobility impaired. The stairs are kind of steep and there are a lot of them. Both bathrooms had super deep tubs which is becoming rare in new hotels and the hot water was actually HOT and adequate to fill up the tubs. The tubs are super cheap quality plastic but as long as they hold water who cares. Oddly the large multi person tub in the master bedroom is not jacuzzi jetted and the shower though large enough for 2+ people only has one shower head and no place to sit. In other words design concept was for luxury but they missed the mark by cutting too many corners. Units have a nice patio or balcony and the HVAC system was more than adequate to keep the unit hot/cool. For the price I would definitely stay here again. However if I planned to do any cooking I would pack for the trip as if I needed to bring all my cookware with me.
I had a short but comfortable stay. We arrived a little later in the evening. We were recognized as Hilton Honors and Grand Vacation members which does not always happen. The room was was clean, spacious, with a big master bathroom. There was nothing amiss and a future longer stay is in the works.
Large units with washer and dryer, full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Had living room, patio and 2 bedrooms. The staff was nice and helpful. All the pools were super clean and the lady bartender was awesome. Free popsicles for the kids, and a variety of activities. Music was played at the pool which was nice. Not over crowded and the rooms were clean as well.
Serviceable place with functional rooms. Suites are spacious and it is convenient to have in room kitchen and laundry but everything is builders basic and dated e.g. popcorn ceilings. The phone system is a challenge because the concierge is on a telephone island and no other part of the hotel can transfer calls to it and it cannot transfer calls to anywhere else. I would recommend dealing with them in person.
At first, walking into your building it's like walking into an apartment building from the 80s. Needs to be updated. The room was nice until a cockroach decided to join in on the fun. The pool was great for a few days, then the kids decided it would be okay to eat food in the pool. Sandwich went into the water, and lettuce was dropped out of their mouths into the water. At that point, my son and I left the pool. Disgusting. I said something on check out about both these things and the person didn't seem to care. I asked for a manager to call me...still waiting. The verdict is still out on whether I'll go back. Update: still no call from the manager. We will NOT be returning
