The Hilton Vacation Club Greensprings Williamsburg offers spacious suites and a variety of amenities, including pools, a golf course, and recreational activities. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistent quality, cleanliness issues, and outdated facilities, particularly regarding older units and limited accessibility. While some guests praise the location and staff helpfulness, recurring complaints center around maintenance needs and a lack of consistent quality.
I brought my grandkids here because i used to enjoy it with my kids. However, it’s fallen in quality. The outdoor hot tub was not working and quite dirty. The cabana is no longer in use for food and beverage at the pool. Towels did not arrive poolside until after noon. The rooms were also a bit tired. Overall, it was not what I remembered and a bit disappointing. We have stated their property in Orlando, which was much much better. They also had more poolside activities there that engaged visitors.
Stayed there the week of Christmas 2025. We found cockroaches in our room, had to throw away all of the food we had just grocery shopped for plus all food brought from home at least $200 total. Also had to go to a Laundromat and spend a lot of money to wash everyone's clothes (5 people.) unexpected expense plus the waste of money buying all that food. One of the main reasons we stayed there was the kitchen to make meals. Complained to staff they switched us to another room and that one had tons of ants had called right away and said someone would be right there to spray. Next day I had to call cause no one ever came. The couch bed mattress we was horrible and super thin very uncomfortable. Found roaches in master bathroom, and kitchen counters, in the sink and cupboards, and on the wall in dining area. They wanted to give us half the amount back to the card used for what we spent on groceries for the inconvenience. Told them no than they offered a 7 day getaway for free to make up for all the issues thinking that was an amazing offer quickly accepted. Well i tried to redeem and nothing about it is free you have to pay anywhere from 200 for crappy hotels to 1000+ for the better ones you would want to stay at. So In reality we got screwed over. Will never ever stay here again!!
My family had a great experience overall. The suite we had was good. My main feedback is the weirdness of check-in. I had to check-in at one desk then go to another desk for them to tell me about the area, give me coupons, and tell me how I should have contacted them first before planning my entire trip. Guess what: if you want to save me money, make the rooms cheaper. Side note: this is apparently a kid friendly place given the noise level of small children everywhere at all times.
This is the best Hilton vacation club weve stayed at yet! Beautiful area on a golf course. Room is so spacious pullout couch, fireplace & soaking tub!!! Balcony overlooking golf course and wooded area was perfect. So many amenities! Indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub cabana outdoor bar & music. Basketball court/mini golf, shuffle board, tennis & beach volleyball all in one area by the club house & pool made it super convenient
We had a very enjoyable stay at Greensprings Vacation Resort by Hilton Grand Vacations in Williamsburg, Virginia. As both Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond members and HGVC system owners, we were very impressed with the overall conversion of this former Diamond Resorts property into a Hilton Grand Vacations property. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and clearly committed to going the extra mile to make sure guests have the best accommodations possible. You can tell they are working hard to bring the entire resort up to the level of quality and consistency that guests expect from the Hilton brand. Our two-bedroom suite with a sleeper sofa was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. It felt more like a full apartment than a hotel room, with plenty of room in the bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, and kitchen. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a huge convenience. The resort itself is mostly quiet, relaxing, and inviting. The indoor and outdoor pools and spas were warm and enjoyable, and the fitness center offered plenty of options for guests who want to keep up with their workouts while traveling. The only major drawback is that there are no elevators in the buildings, so anyone with mobility concerns or difficulty carrying luggage up and down stairs should definitely request a first-floor room. We did notice a few items that needed attention and mentioned them to the front desk. The encouraging thing is that the staff seemed very responsive and eager to make corrections for the next guest. It is clear they are working toward updating and improving the rooms to match the high standard expected from Hilton Grand Vacations. The only reason I would not give this a full five stars is that, while the resort is already very comfortable and well-managed, there are still some improvements being finalized. Overall, this is a very good place to stay in Williamsburg, especially for families or anyone wanting extra space, apartment-style comfort, and a relaxing resort atmosphere?
Week's stay at unit. Little warn and dated, soaker tub not jacuzzi, fireplace nice but simulated, even though 80-90s large outdoor pool not open until memorial weekend (probably needed seasonal health code maintenance), indoor pool bigger than most resorts and hot tub/jacuzzi large too very nice, large locker room/bathroom with suana, workout room/universal gym large also...one tennis court currently crack repaired needs new net (but was playable), two dedicated pickle ball courts looked newer (obviously)....separate area for basketball away from units thank goodness and has minigolf (did not play), ping pong , foozball, no game room (not needed)...Hilton is renovating probably and probably 1-2 years may be up to their five stars quality...facilities close to five stars as it...15/day resort fee, but is worth it considering little isolated (liked that not there to shop but resort)...easy shopping and upscale millennial NewTown 5-10 minutes out
After staying here in the past, they finally have begun remodeling a lot of their units. And I have to say it's a world of difference, looks 10 times better and things actually work. The indoor pool area was very comfortable and enjoyable. Check in was fast and easy. Plus, they have mini golf, a rec room, and activities center. (Didn't use those) Overall, was very impressed.
We stayed here with our family of 6 while in town to visit Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The complex is quite large with many buildings. Some of the units are renovated and some are not. The units overall are large, but the inside of the living quarters buildings was very outdated and tired. We wound up moving to a new room after our first night and the renovated rooms, essentially, a quick flip (new furniture, no carpets) of the older rooms was an improvement. The pool area was the highlight with a nice outdoor pool, indoor pool, kiddie pool, a heated outdoor hot tub. There is also mini golf and basketball on site.
Definitely one of those places that makes you feel like they are doing you a favor checking you in, then they try to sell you on going to a timeshare meeting. The carpet is so disgusting I would advise bringing dark socks to walk around in, the walls are paper thin, we listened to the upstairs tenants chase around a kid till he must have passed out at midnight. It’s a good size but that’s about the only positive, would prefer something smaller that feels clean.
Good location, especially for golf fans. The rooms are nice and well appointed. The master bedroom tub is large enough for two, but no Jacuzzi jets. The beds are amazingly comfortable IMHO.
