Just a great place to call home!! ??
who cares yall treat the people who stay there like prisoners? no one cares about pineapple. bed Bug infested also
Lovely spot they really care
Rooms were alright due to the many occupants I had. There was a roach problem in all the rooms though. Service was OK. The only problem was when they gave my linen to someone else and then stop washing it all together. Staff were OK. Ms. Amy was fine until she started putting others before us. Many came and gone but I was given A LOT Of false promises! Grace should not be management because she claims she try to help you but still put me and my kids out after I been paying weekly and was supposed to be "monthly". FYI, summer time when the students come, you might as well pack your belongings because THEY WILL PUT YOU OUT FOR THEM!! Overall experience was not good and my family would never stay there again!
I lived at the pineapple inn for about a year. In that year I saw many, many people come and go, as well as others who were there long before me and stayed long after. There are so many different folks from different walks of life who stay here. The staff does a great job of helping support the guests in their pursuit of finding resources that will get them to a better station in life - not to mention the food pantry on site, the full kitchens that are available, the clothing closet, and donations that come in from the community. The rooms are not the greatest - this is not the Ritz Carlton. But there are beds that are of average comfort, there is standard (if not brand new/top of the line) furnishings, what you would expect from this sort of place. The other guests run the entire gamut from retired folks living on a fixed income who have made the pineapple their home, to those who are just down on their luck or between housing for a week or two, to more unsavory characters, but in my year there I never (or so seldomly I don’t remember it) felt unsafe or uncomfortable walking around or using the communal spaces. When there were issues, I generally noticed the staff dealing with them in a timely manner. I never experienced any issues with other guests personally, but being somewhere for a year you are generally aware of things when they happen. Most of the staff was generally friendly, and the front office specifically were great at helping to find the resources I needed. If you need a place to land while you get back on your feet, there are much worse places to land. While I hope I am not in a situation to need a place like the Pineapple again, I am glad to know they exist and give other people like me an opportunity to get a leg up.
I HATED this place. It was so nasty, first of all I got bit by bed bugs and when I told the lady at the front desk she denied there was any bed bugs so I waited. After a couple weeks I killed one bed bug and showed her myself so she would believe me (besides all my wounds), she finally sent someone to check the room but he didn't even bother in checking under the mattress so he left saying if I saw another just to let them know. I had to leave since they were so disgustingly disrespectful, and on top of that, one of their housekeepers opened my bag and stole $100 that I had there, I told them as well and I remember the lady at the front said: "You could call the police but I don't think they would do anything at all". They're also very racist, they receive foreign students and talk trash about them. Poor service and disgusting rooms. Cigarettes everywhere and sketchy people around.
Very poor noise people...... All up in your business then want to blame people for stuff. When really all I did was do laundry and pay phone bill I stay to myself why blame people for stuff .... Do your job and find the person don't say I believe you know the person when really I don't interact with anybody... It's cop central out there always drama out there people like to gossip
Very affordable place to live short term. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They worked out a very nice deal with me and I always felt safe. Will Always keep this in my radar whenever I need a place to stay
