The Comfort Suites Williamsburg Historic Area consistently receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near Colonial Williamsburg. While some guests appreciate the spacious suites and amenities like the pool and breakfast, recurring concerns include mattress comfort and occasional noise levels, particularly during peak times. Recent reviews indicate a generally positive experience, but highlight the potential for inconsistent quality.
In Williamsburg I've stayed at the Comfort Inn, the Holiday Inn and this hotel within the last year and a half and of the three this hotel is the better one. The hotel is very well kept and looks recently renovated, it is very clean and the room we had was big. The shower was good, the beds were comfortable and the TV was very big. The pool was clean and the hot tub was a pretty good size, the front desk staff are very friendly and the continental breakfast was standard as far as continental breakfasts go but also very good as was the coffee. There's a ton of parking and it's right in front of the entrance to the hotel so you don't have to walk very far. Overall I was very impressed with this place and the next time we come to Williamsburg I will be staying here again.
Comfort Suites Williamsburg was overall a solid stay. The hotel was very clean, everything looked well kept, and the staff was professional and easy to deal with the entire time. You can tell they take the place seriously, and that definitely made a good impression. That said, the beds were hard as hell. I’m pretty sure I got tucked in on a granite countertop with sheets on it. If you like sleeping on what feels like a lightly padded piece of plywood, you’ll be right at home. If not, just be prepared. Other than that, no real complaints. Clean hotel, professional staff, and a comfortable enough experience overall minus the mattress trying to humble my spine.
Perfect location to visit all the sites, yet set in a quiet area. Rooms are clean and relaxing. At breakfast things get crazy with all the guests, however the staff is up to the challenge and work hard to keep things running smoothly. Overall we would stay here again.
Great place, friendly staff, clean rooms and reception area, pool is nice, hot tub is just warm and not hot. Could use more towels at pool entrance several days we were there they didnt have any stocked. Breakfast was okay, a better meat variety would be nice. Sausage seems to be their go to. Would prefer bacon instead. We have learned to bring our own cereals and bread and purchase milk to keep in the refrigerator for breakfast with kids. We even bring our own toaster. Makes breakfast much easier when traveling. Room wouldn't cool temp was stuck at 74 entire week.
We stayed two nights. Part of the hotel is being remodeled. There is some noise starting at 8 am. Other than that, the place is quiet. The suite was a nice size with plenty of room. There is an indoor pool as well as an exercise room. The breakfast was excellent. They offered omelets and scrambled eggs. Coffee is always available. I recommend this hotel. *** Please be courteous. *** One guest used a luggage cart and left it full while eating breakfast. From the time they took the cart to off loading, it was over an hour. I believe the hotel only has three!
I had an extremely disappointing, and disgusting interaction with the front desk manager, Miriam, during breakfast service. After eating downstairs myself, I prepared two plates to bring back to my husband who was getting ready for work. Before leaving, I politely approached the front desk to ask whether Apple Pay was accepted for drinks at the little mini mart they had in the front. Instead of simply answering my question, Miriam began reprimanding me about taking two plates of food, calling it “abuse,” and comparing it to someone coming into her personal home to eat her food. This was not only inappropriate, but incredibly unprofessional — especially coming from a manager. To speak to someone in a condescending and accusatory manner over something that could have been addressed calmly and respectfully, I found this comment unnecessary, and unprofessional. Managers set the standard for hospitality. This interaction fell far below what I would expect from hotel leadership. I hope corporate management reviews this situation and addresses how guests are treated moving forward.
Love this hotel and the staff! Stayed here with my family last weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable . Rooms were clean ! Bed slept great. Front desk staff were super nice! Just an overall positive experience staying here!
Great hotel! Very clean, staff is friendly and the heated pool and hot tub are a gem. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be staying again.
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The staff was CRAZY friendly and helpful. The hotel is well kept, clean, and modern. The suites were very large and well appointed, but I would have loved some hooks on the wall! Location is very central to everything. We were very impressed and would absolutely stay here again. Only cons were the fact that there was some room to room noise - we could hear the people next to and above us sometimes. White noise while trying to sleep drowned it out no problem though.
I have nothing but praises for the Comfort Suites in Williamsburg.. Everything was exceptional. The front desk staff is awesome, as is the housekeeping staff who kept my room looking so beautiful and tidy. Rooms are spacious with cozy beds and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had such nice quality towels, folded perfecty. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were so therapeutic and healing and much appreciated. Breakfast is a bountiful buffet of tasty foods like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, potatos, waffles, cinnamon apples, sausage and much more. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day. Comfort Suites is aptly named because it really is full of comfort. Guest laundry, a game room, and fitness center are other amenities. A big thank you to Matthew at the front desk who should be nominated for employee of the year. He's a fabulous employee. Matthew was so kind and helpful. Mario at the front desk was so sweet to offer me food from the buffet because I had to check out at five in the morning to catch a train. He was great. I highly recommend staying at this property. It's really the best place to stay.
