Had an amazing time here a couple years back. Tried to get the same site reserved but was told they made major changes to their tent sites. Sad that I can’t get the same site but felt the need to preserve a site that is gone now with some great memories. Staff were friendly and the views were amazing.
The camp was spacious, the restrooms and grounds well maintained, and each site has access to electrical outlets and a water pump, as well as a camp table and fire pit. Overall a lovely place to stay!
Great site to camp for first time campers. I went with some friends last year and had a great time, there's a pool, kayak rentals and the restroom look good! They have a variety of types or camping from Glamping to RV sites and smaller sites for tents. It's a nice getaway to be out in nature and enjoy campfire stories with friends!
The staff was attentive and friendly. We had a family fun day here. The staff made numerous rounds to collect trash, which helped keep the area clean. There is a grassy field in front of the shelter which can be used for games and other activities.
Super fun take your kids fishing even sponsored by the Parks and Recreation department. There is a pool (for a fee), dock, boating launch, playground, grills, restrooms, camping (for a fee). Definitely a nice park.
We camped here because it was close to Bush Gardens. It was lovely. It's a nice little campground, the bathroom was clean, our campsite was nice and shady. It is dog friendly. It also has a big pool and splash pad. We had a great time and it was an easy drive to all of the attractions.
Beautiful park. The staff in the office are extremely helpful and polite. The website unfortunately is awful! Reserving a campsite is far more difficult than it should be. Calling the office is preferred. It doesn't seem that the "rules" are enforced as much as at other parks that I've stayed at. A lot of noise, music, etc well past 10pm. And the campers around us had lots of visitors who were parking wherever they wanted including ours and other people's sites. If that kind of stuff doesn't bug you, then you'll enjoy it
Great little park to camp and get away. Still close enough to most major attractions in the area that it’s not too far of a drive. Don’t miss the sunsets down by the boat ramp! They seem to be a bit loose on their rules though. Campers were getting away with having more vehicles on site than allowed. We also had someone park a boat in front of our site, making it difficult to get out on check-out day. Park workers had been driving around multiple times, so you can’t say they didn’t know about it. Despite that, we do plan to return. One major suggestion is that they need to level the dump station. As of this posting, it’s graded downward, so you won’t be able to get everything out of your tanks. Another suggestion is that they provide individual private changing areas for the showers instead of the one communal changing area. The park is also very dog friendly. Many campers could be seen out walking their dogs.
We had a great time camping here!! Clean bathrooms!! The campsite is beautiful!! My granddaughter loved the playground!! It was really nice!!!
Wonderful space to walk my dog. He enjoys running down the boat ramp into the water. The appearance is well maintained. The new improvements of gravel and lumber edges on the RV spaces look nice and seem functional with picnic tables in each space.
