Absolutely adorable motel! Truly a "step back in time" in the very best way! Charming retro vibe with all the modern conveniences you want & need! Beautiful renovation throughout and the owner's mom's banana bread on Saturday morning was the best! They support local business too! I'm really picky about just about everything & I was very happy to stay here!

My wife and I stayed for one night. Very clean and updated rooms. Parking was nice. Lobby and breakfast was great, as well and the nice clerk. There are outdoor games, patio and seating to enjoy also, but it was damp during our stay. Can’t go wrong with this beautiful timepiece!

This place is perfectly adorable and quaint. The breakfast was amazing (splurge on the breakfast sandwich) and the rooms are cozy and comfy. Decor of the lobby is so precious and customer service via text and in person at breakfast was perfection. It’s off the beaten path a bit from campus but really quiet and private and within minutes to any attraction. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely perfect, definitely a local hidden gem. We had the king size handicap room. Walker fit well in room. Shower was easy to transfer from walker ( rollator) to built in shower seat. Lyle the owner is wonderful to communicate with and his boutique hotel has thoughtful touches throughout. We loved staying here for our honeymoon.

We recently stayed at the Rochambeau Roadside Inn and honestly cannot recommend it enough! It completely exceeded our expectations and was a highlight of our trip to Williamsburg. First off, the room was fantastic and the staff was so friendly! It was spotless, well designed and you can tell they put so much thought into the renovations; it felt like a high-end boutique hotel rather than a standard roadside stop. The lobby is also worth a special mention. It’s so cool, has such a great vibe (the wallpaper is amazing), and it was the perfect spot to grab a cup of coffee before heading out for the day. One of our absolute favorite memories from the trip was spending the evening by the outdoor fire pit. We roasted marshmallows with our kids and made s'mores, which was a great way to end our day in Williamsburg. Location-wise, you couldn't ask for better. It is super close to Colonial Williamsburg and a very quick drive or bike ride away making it the perfect "base camp" for seeing the history around town. If you are looking for a unique, comfortable, and friendly place to stay in Williamsburg, this is the place to stay!!! We will be back!

Excellent little hotel. Staff was friendly and communicative. Rooms very nice and clean. The shower was absolutely amazing and had great water pressure. The beds were satisfactory but could have been better. The WiFi was a little spotty. Very close to colonial Williamsburg. Well worth the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rochambeau! The entire Inn was just recently renovated and rooms feel brand new and luxurious. Our shower was wonderful with great water pressure. The whole room was spotless and had modern amenities and decor. Our check in/ check out process was incredibly convenient and super easy. Everything was texted to us and any information we could need was provided ahead of time to make our stay stress free. Staff was very attentive and was able to accommodate a few requests for extra toiletries immediately and everyone was very kind. The location is unbeatable being 15 mins from Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown and some great restaurants too! We would absolutely book again when visiting the area and highly recommend the inn to anyone looking for a cozy stay for their vacation.

Growing up just 30 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, I found it a delight to return and see an incredible surprise! From the outside, Rochambeau Roadside may look like a classic roadside inn, but the moment you step inside, it feels like a boutique hotel. The bed and linens were top quality, and the little touches (great lighting, cozy seating, well-placed outlets, and an excellent shower) made a big difference. The staff were the highlight of our stay. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. Check-in was quick and friendly, and we appreciated the homemade banana bread as part of the continental breakfast offered on the weekend. They offered plenty of other fresh options too, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere that felt more like a café than a hotel lobby. This stay far exceeded our expectations. Rochambeau Roadside Inn has managed to turn a simple roadside stop into a memorable and comfortable destination. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone passing through or looking for a charming, affordable place to stay.

The beds are super comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower is fantastic—small details that make a big difference after a day out. Don’t sleep on this spot as a lodging option in Williamsburg. It’s the kind of place that feels both easygoing and elevated at the same time. Highly recommend!
