Reviews consistently describe this property as unclean and poorly maintained, with guests frequently encountering pest infestations, unsanitary bedding, and rusty, deteriorating fixtures. While the location is praised for proximity to area attractions, the management's response to complaints and the lack of basic amenities, such as working Wi-Fi and a functional coffee maker, have deterred repeat stays.
I usually give hotels good reviews, but this one fell short. We had booked a king-sized room, but it was dirty. We asked to switch to two queen-sized beds for our family, but they put us in two full-size beds. We made the best of it. We also asked the front desk about breakfast time, and they told us it was 8 am, even though the sign said 7 am. We were fine with that until this morning. All that was left was a single muffin, very low-quality cereals, and nasty coffee. The room was also dirty again. We returned to our rooms to prepare our belongings and resume our journey. Unfortunately, the key for our room ceased functioning entirely. Fortunately, someone was still present in the room to grant us entry. This place doesn’t deserve any stars at all.
Went there a week ago had to switch rooms the 1st room already had a visitor in there a (roach). The guy at the front desk went to go inspect the room apologized and said he would take care of it. Got an upgrade to a suite which was really nice. Would definitely stay there again.
My friends and I were traveling to Busch Gardens Hall-o-scream. We thought that would be the scariest part of our night, but room 253 at the days inn turned out to be far more frightening. I have never felt so unsafe at a hotel in my life. This one truly tested that. Upon arrival, the front desk manager was not very respectful. When getting our key, we struggled to get the door to open. We were not aware that there were two doors to the room. When going back to the front desk, the manager grew frustrated that I asked for help. He repeatedly rolled his eyes and eventually walked from behind the counter to help. I would like to remind everyone, when we checked in it was close to 12:45am. When we finally got settled in our room it was around 12:55. When putting our stuff down, we noticed stains on the carpet and the stains on the comforter. The stains on the floor looked dark red and brown. There was a urine stain on the bed. Both of which were alarming. When thinking we could just use the other bed or the pull out couch, we were sadly mistaken. Upon opening the pull out couch, there was more brown and red stains littered across the mattress, on top of having no sheets to put on the bed. There was trash, shirt, underwear, paper towels, and bottle caps. There was also just general filth. From there we didn’t even think it would be safe to use that. As we continued to make our way through the room, when stopping at the first restroom we noticed pubic hair in the shower where water would not drain. There was hair all across the wall as well. There was also hair circling the drain and yellow stains across the bathroom. Fortunately, there was a second bathroom but that was not much better. Finally when we decided to call the front desk, we tried multiple times but were no one picked up. We did not feel safe whatsoever to leave the room. When seeing other people at the hotel, the pair that were in the room next door showed us a blood stain that was massive on the floor and shared it was in their sink. Only to return, to see when we are winding down, there is blood on the pillows in our room. From there we tried to call multiple hotels but because it was homecoming weekend everyone was fully booked. Luckily we brought our own pillows and blankets and slept on top of the sheets, but didn’t feel as though we could use anything they provided as everything looked dirty. The next morning, upon checking out we met with what we thought at first was the manager but in turn was not. Ron had expressed that we were not going to receive a refund and if we did, it would only be $60 out of the $200 spent. When we expressed our concerns, he repeatedly blamed us and tried to say that we weren’t being truthful, and that we should have come downstairs last night to complaint. From there when I try to state the comments about the blood, he left and stormed out and went to go look at the room, and upon coming back, blamed us for not coming downstairs to speak to a manager when the door was locked and we would’ve had to ring the doorbell camera. But again, there was no one downstairs. As a 24 year old girl who is with her friends, we did not feel comfortable to continue to walk continuously back and forth. From there, Ron continuously said that he “didn’t have time to clean the room” and that there was nothing he could do about it. If you want a good experience, do not go here. It was truly a horror show. I wish I could leave 0 Stars, but I guess that ain’t possible.
Room was very dirty. Had food debris on floor and in general VERY soaked walls, doors etc. Mold growing in shower stall and on ceiling. Sheets were stained and soiled. Nobody emptied our trash cans or changed the sheets. Update 2 days later. No improvement. My wife called the office to request 2 fresh towels and since they don't clean the rooms or replenish things like towels it's a daily struggle to get them. After waiting for several hours and nobody came, I went myself to complain about the dirt, mold and having to call daily to get anything, the so called hotel manager had the nerve to tell me that I should replenish items myself and yelled at me for not doing it myself. My wife had called them several times to inform them about problems to no avail. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Stay away from this dump at all costs. My next move is to try calling days inn corporate office to let them know about our experiences!
The room was very dirty. Hair through the shower, sinks, toilet, bed and floors. Looked like it’s never been dusted. Trash left in the closet. The front office is spotless and smells good, but the rooms were not. Also, no coffee maker in the room like they said on the website. Light breakfast was supposed to open at 7am, door was locked at 7:20am. I called the front desk and after multiple calls someone finally answered and said not open until 8am.
Awful, stay away! Unclean rooms and bed bugs We entered the room after arriving to town late (around midnight) and it smelled bad and looked dirty. We immediately started checking the room, and upon pulling out the sleeper sofa, discovered unwashed, blood-stained sheets folded into the sofa and BED BUGS. Fortunately, we had not unloaded the car before checking the room, so our belongings weren't affected. The front desk offered another room (which we declined) and gave us a refund. We were able to find a last minute room nearby, but we have a family of 5 and had to make due with the youngest sleeping on 2 chairs pushed together since it was the middle of summer. Still a better option than this location. It threw a major wrench into our vacation plans, and had we not budgeted for an emergency and been able to cover another hotel stay before the refund hit, we would have been in a tough position. Spend the little bit of extra money somewhere else for a safer, cleaner stay.
Location is great. Staff was nice. Rooms weren't great. We had 2 rooms. 1 room was fine but smelled like marijuanna. The other room had 0 towels (was a deluxe) and when we asked they gave us...2. Also the keys stopped working. Wasn't bad for only spending 1 night but probably wouldn't spend longer here. Pool was okay..very warm but spacious.
Staff is amazing and so polite. The pool was very nice and not crowded at all. You can pull right up to your door which we loved!! If you need a quick weekend stay this would be a good place. The location is so close to all the attractions. We stayed for a week and that was too long. The rooms were clean and no stains on the beds. We never saw any housekeepers however and had to ask for clean towels and wash clothes while we were there. We did see them cleaning and changing the rooms after people checked out. The breakfast is basic Continental however the juice was very hot and didn’t taste right. Cereal, muffins and apples were there. There is plenty of people to keep you entertained. We met some really awesome neighbors and heard some crazy fights, which the hotel took care of asap and they were not a problem again. For the price a weekend stay would be worth it. But longer than that. The hotel does need some fixing up but like I said it’s a weekend quick stop, not a luxury hotel.
Front desk gentleman was nice but room wasn’t! We paid for a non smoking room but room smelled like cigarettes! We couldn’t get another place because it was a holiday! The tub was filthy, I was afraid to even put my feet in the tub and when we had to ask for towels and they gave us rags! Not a good experience!
This is a basic hotel in a good location. The mattress on one of our beds had a large stain all down one corner. Rooms had a fridge and microwave (no coffee maker). Each bed has 2 pillows. There was a desk and chair in the room along with some complimentary toiletaries. Breakfast was cereal (Raisin Bran, Froot Loops, Cornflakes), muffins and apples with coffee, breakfast tea or juice.
