Other than the location everything else was to say the least a bit under whelming. The mattress was lumpy, wires were hanging out of the wall. The shower had two settings but with the calcium buildup only one setting worked and had very little pressure. The posts holding up the second floor balcony/walkway were rotting away. Some of the staff were nice, at best, and others were just down right nasty. We were running behind checking out and the office staff was very sarcastic, even after I apologized and explained that my wife wasn't feeling well. Breakfast was okay. They had bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Just would have expected more from a Red Roof Inn. But hey the price was good.

The room was great! The staff friendly! Location is perfect and it's so beautiful! Minutes away from Second Street Bistro and Amber Ox (which is a farm to take restaurant) and Busch Gardens. My only issue is that the bathroom is the size of a closet. The room was clean, beds comfortable (but I like my mattress more firmer anyway.) I would stay here again.

We stayed here during our Busch Gardens trip, and everything was great. Chris at check-in was very helpful, the room was super cold when we got in, which was perfect. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The water pressure was great in the shower. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!!

Place smelled of Marajuana. Rooms were disgusting and ceilings in both rooms we stayed in have water damage and possible mold issues. Bathrooms were dirty. I have pictures. Management has diagusting aggressive behavior and would not refund. It was the worst nightmare hotel stay. They need to hire better cleaning and use bleach for mold and urine. Refund guests when appropriate. Hire new management this place is a sinking ship. Their manager Nathan was super aggressive over the phone. He was bipolar and explained things in person differently and then acted insane over the phone and lied to us and Expedia.

Upon arrival and check in the room was DIRTY. Decided not to stay and cannot get refund with hotels.com because the hotel will not approve them. Family was supposed to check in to join the next night. They decided not to check in and cannot get a refund either. The hotel is DIRTY and they should be understanding that not everyone wants to stay in far from clean environments. The hotels.com ratings are not accurate and misleading. So travel 4 hours to the hotel to find out yourself and get stuck with the charges for their negligence!

a fair, well maintained hotel. one of my first solo stays as a female traveler. during my evening check in, Chris was courteous, efficient, and made me feel safe by acknowledging the cameras the property has, and that he stays attentive to then throughout his night shift. thank you Chris

Best thing about the motel is it's within walking distance to Williamsburg itself. The staff did not appear overly friendly it's just a job. The rooms are okay but nothing great. Paint peeling on the ceilings nail pops in the ceiling. We had a problem with the toilet being not tightly bolted to the floor otherwise the bed was comfortable and the linen and Floors were clean. But the refrigerator had no freezer section at all if you wanted to freeze water bottles the tub was stained, not sure if it was paint or something else the shower head had lots of calcium buildup. The curtain rod for the front window curtain was unattached on one side so the curtain drooped. The room was noisy with the person upstairs walking across the floor which you could hear like heavy footsteps whenever they moved

I always liked Red Roofs when traveling with my dog because they're one of a few hotels that don't give you any kind of harassment or charge extra because of pets. The rooms are very pet friendly and these have been remodeled recently. Don't come in expecting a Ritz-Carlton but come in expecting a clean room with everything you need at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is lackluster but I've never seen a hotel with three or less stars have a breakfast worth anything anyway. Staff here are super nice and helpful.

Had to move in after a fire. Toilet explodes raw sewage its been weeks and they refuse to fix it, kids are sick, rooms haven't been changed. Had to cll the health department they then lied and told the tech they would fix it today hasn't happened. I guess next step is legal aid and wavy 10. Please beware of these slumlords

Front desk clerk was absolutely insufferable and rude. I told her we had 2 couples and 2 children. She allowed us to check in and ran my credit card, let us go to our room, then waited outside for us to start unloading our car (in the cold, with two small kids) to march down with a smirk and inform us we were over fire code and had to vacate. If handled properly, it would have been a completely understandable mistake, but seems like she was competing for a prize in the self-righteousness contest that no one told her didn’t exist.
